BRISTOL – People who enjoy rummaging for bargains at local garage sales and auctions will have a great opportunity to pursue that passion and benefit the community.
Bristol Regional Medical Center is hosting a charity trunk sale from 8:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 2, in the parking lot of the J.D. and Lorraine Nicewonder Cancer Center. Wellmont Health System co-workers have reserved parking spaces from which they will sell their used items to the public.
Proceeds from the space rentals will benefit Wellmont’s annual employee giving campaign, which funds local United Way agencies, Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals and other beneficial programs for the region and health system. Sellers may also choose to donate their profits.
“Every day, thousands of people in our community need our help at critical junctures in their lives,” said Love Hobson, Bristol Regional's director of pulmonary, wound care and neurological services and the event’s coordinator. “By participating in this campaign, our co-workers have a chance to advance the common good and greatly impact people’s lives. We appreciate the public’s support of this endeavor to enhance the region’s quality of life.”
The public is invited to attend the sale. To learn more, please call Sonya Clark at 423-844-4539.
