BRMC NUCLEAR MEDICINE PROGRAM FIRST IN STATE TO EARN ACCREDITATION

BRISTOL – The nuclear medicine program at Bristol Regional Medical Center has become the first such program in the state to earn accreditation from the American College of Radiology.
The three-year accreditation was granted after an intensive evaluation of the BRMC program by board-certified physicians and medical physicists who are experts in the field of nuclear medicine. Qualifications of personnel, adequacy of facilities and quality assessment and improvement activities were reviewed as part of the evaluation.
The American College of Radiology is a national organization serving more than 32,000 radiologists, radiation oncologists and medical physicists with programs focusing on the practice of medical imaging and radiation oncology and the delivery of comprehensive healthcare services.
