KINGSPORT –Holston Valley Medical Center officials will gather with city and economic development leaders Thursday, Nov. 15, to celebrate the beginning of construction of a 105,000-square-foot outpatient center along Stone Drive.

A groundbreaking ceremony will be held at 2 p.m. on the future site of the outpatient center, located at 105 W. Stone Drive.

“There is a clear, demonstrated need for expanded outpatient services in the Kingsport community,” Holston Valley President Louis Bremer said. “As Kingsport’s premier provider of healthcare services, we’re committed to meeting that need.”

Construction of the $30 million outpatient center is expected to take about 14 months. Once complete, the innovative facility will house a diagnostic imaging center, the Comprehensive Breast Center, an ambulatory surgery center and an outpatient rehabilitation center.

A 60,000-square-foot medical office building is also under development on the site.
