SOUTHWEST VIRGINIA REGIONAL CANCER CENTER RECEIVES $13,400 DONATION

NORTON, Va. – Representatives of Dickenson County Medical Center recently presented a $13,400 donation to the Southwest Virginia Regional Cancer Center to help in the fight against cancer.

The money was raised during Dickenson County’s Crusade for a Cure walk-a-thon. Dickenson County Medical Center Chief Executive Officer Ben Peak and employee Heather Davis, who coordinated the walk-a-thon, presented the check to Tammy Wright, manager of the Southwest Virginia Regional Cancer Center, and Winston Ely, chairman of the center’s Cancer Advisory Council.

The donation will be used to provide free cancer screenings to the community.
